Our Founder
Our founder, Azu Etoniru is a registered professional engineer and a registered professional land surveyor in the Commonwealth of Massachussets; and also maintains engineering record in the civil engineering discipline with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. He also is a Licensed Soil Evaluator and Title V System Inspector in Massachusetts. Azu came to the United States at the age of nineteen years old to study Civil Engineering at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 1979; a Master of Science Degree in Economic Policy and Planning in 1980; and a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 1984. Following his academic training, Azu went and worked for the Town of Lexington, Massachusetts and thereafter was employed by Briggs Associates as a Project Manager and a Department Manager through 1987. After his employment with Briggs Associates, Azu was employed as a Project Manager at GHR Engineering Associates until 1988 when he formed E. T. Engineering Enterprises, Inc. His vision has been guided by an insatiable appetite and love for Civil Engineering and Land Surveying that has continued to manifest itself in our firm over the past quarter century. Azu is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers; the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section (BSCES); the Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers; and the National Society of Professional Surveyors. Azu has served as the Chair of the Southeastern Massachusetts Committee of BSCES for the past five years. He loves gardening, soccer, reading and skiing. Azu and his wife are proud parents of four grown children.
